REGENERATION

My REGENERATION series is about growing as an artist through experimentation and risk by reworking finished paintings. It is liberating to destroy a piece that at one time was perfect, but now feels amateur, stagnant, and depressing. By risking these pieces in the hope of giving them a renewed beauty, I allow myself to reinvigorate who I am as an artist as well as my overall sense of optimism.
